It’s Winter!   8 comments

We woke up to what we call “termination dust” this morning — just a little snow on the ground to remind us that winter is coming.

About two hours ago, the heavens opened and … now …

I just have to say this to President Obama. This the earliest winter since 1992. Winter almost never starts in Fairbanks before October 5 and that’s 10 days away.

It’s been suspected to be early this year because August temperatures was 10 degrees below historical average.

Remind me again why Alaskans should panic over global warming. Because this does not look at all like warming to me.

  1. It appears that in the new “climate change” lingo cold is the new warm and warm is the new hot. And only my money and your money can chase the demon away. Sort of sounds a little like a con game from the middle ages.

    • Selling indulgences allowed the Roman Catholic Church to control people through their fear of hell. Priests and popes got rich, while the poor got poorer … and there was no middle class. Today, climate change is supposed to scare us into parting with our coin, so that government officials can grow rich, the poor can get a basic guaranteed income … and the middle class can cease to exist.

  2. Good Lord, you are getting snow now!
