The Wategate myth that offers something for everyone.

While I agree with the OP/I must say that Watergate could easily have been overlooked by the public if the Post hadn’t gone after the story. We see it with Obama now. Because the press soft-serves their coverage of his constitutional violations, the public isn’t demanding his impeachment, so Congress isn’t going after it. Nixon was gotten by the people, but the press helped the people know about what he’d done.
